The Story of Richard and Rebecca
I have been wanting to post the story of my fiance, Richard Nicholas and I for quite some time, so here goes.. It was the night of the Call Houston, Jan 17th. I was standing at our information booth for Bound4LIFE when this guy and his friend came up to ask for directions to the Planned Parenthood that we would be sieging at the next day. I thought he was handsome but didn't think anything further because I had just started a 5 month no dating vow. He left and I went on about my business. The next day at the Silent Siege I was directing people where to go and guess who walks up? The same handsome guy. He stopped and we chatted for a minute then he left. About 5 seconds later he was running back up to me and asked me if he could have my email so he could get some more info on B4L and JHOP (Justice House of Prayer). I had to say yes because that was my job, right? Well a few days later I went back home to DC and a couple weeks go by and then I hear from him. He genuinely had some questions about JHOP but he finally got to the real question he wanted ask to all along, "Are you single?" Haha. I told him yes but that I was not dating anyone for the next 5 months. He respected my decision and we decided to become friends. We emailed over the next 4 months and really got to know one another. God definitely had His hand all over us because if you know me you know that I am not THAT spontaneous. Really, who emails someone for 4 months with no phone calls that they only met once?? Well it worked and we were finally ready to meet! So we planned a trip to FL to see what direction we were going to take. May 19th was the day that my life changed forever. We spent the next few days hanging out and meeting friends and family. May 24th we drove back to Dallas to meet his family (which I felt comfortable with immediately) and then I would fly back to DC from there. Those 6 days were absolutely amazing filled with fun and adventure and from there we decided to pursue a relationship. After flying back to DC we continued talking and started planning future details. Over the next month we planned another trip back to FL. While down he asked both of my dads if he could have my hand in marriage and of course they said yes. July 10th he took me to the beach where we fished, shopped, had ice cream then out of no where he got down on one knee, grabbed my hand and proposed! It was one of the happiest days of my life. I was filled with so much joy! We then had a couple more days together before we had to go back our separate ways. I had to finish up the summer in DC with B4L before I could move to Dallas. Finally August 21st had come. It was the day my man flew to DC to meet the Locketts and the B4L team then to drive me back to DFW. Thankfully everyone loved him and gave tons of approval which made me incredibly happy. We left on the 23rd and made our way to Texas where we will be spending our lives together. For awhile at least. I am ecstatic and can not wait to be Mrs. Rebecca Nicholas :)

Bound4LIFE
"He loves us more than we know, and we're really important to Him. These simple truths fly in the face of every lie the enemy has spoken to them when they're alone in front of their mirror. How many sons and daughters have been carelessly told that they were an accident? I love telling them that they weren't an accident. After they leave I always pray that God would give them the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him. Now somebody come water those seeds. Ha....."

Siege

“Lay siege against it, build a siege wall against it… Set your face against it, and it shall be besieged, and you shall lay siege against it.” (Ezekiel 4:2-3 NKJV)
This is Belinda and I sieging at the Supreme Court House here in DC. Right now we are praying that there will be no government funded abortions in the healthcare bill that is trying to pass. Please join with us in praying for our government today.

New Commitments
Hello friends!
Just an update to what's happening in my life here in DC/VA.
I have recently gained some new responsibilities which I am very excited about. As you may or may not know I am also a part of JHOPDC, jhopdc.com. Right now we are short on staff at JHOP so we haven't been able to have the prayer room open as much as we'd like. I decided to sit down and talk with Matt, Director of B4L and JHOPDC, and ask him if I could personally go in a few days a week to have the prayer room open and cover a couple sieges. He agreed as I hoped he would. So now I go into DC on Wednesday morning and stay until Friday night after our weekly Rumble. I absolutely love it. It's a must that we gain staff though. Especially if we want to have summer/fall internships. So if you could keep that in your prayers, it would be greatly appreciated. I have also taken over the JHOP contact emailing. Meaning if anyone emails JHOP for information, I will be the one responding. Pray for me that I will respond clear and promptly. These are small tasks but they still excite me.
I pray God blesses you with supernatural favor. Have an amazing week!

Vacation
Last week I went to the mountains in Banner Elk, NC with some family and friends for a little vacation. I learned to ski, did some major bargain shopping and spent time with some awesome people. Here are are couple pics.
Just An Update
Just wanted to give all my supporters an update on what's been going on in my life. Since we've been back from Houston we've mainly been focusing on the healthcare bill that is in motion. If you don't already know, abortion has been the wedge that is keeping this bill from moving forward. We have been praying and standing in the gap, saying we do not want government funded abortions by sieging and speaking with government representatives as much as possible. It is our duty to stand in the gap for the unborn and cry out for mercy on behalf of this nation. Today was the Healthcare Summit located in the Blair House across from the White House. We, Bound4LIFE, went and stood in front of the House and prayed during the 6hour summit asking God to come down and speak to Pres. Obama's heart on the issue of abortion. I believe we moved heaven just by standing in silence. Go to http://bound4life.com/blog and read more on what went on. Now our plan is just to wait, pray and watch God move.
Spring is around the corner and things will start picking up a bit so hopefully I will be blogging more:) Thanks to all who are standing with me and the mission God has called me to. Be blessed.

The Road to Houston
Hey Everyone,
I will be flying out to Houston on Monday to help mobilize with The Call and B4L to get word out about the monstrosity that is going up in a predominantly Hispanic neighborhood. We will be unifying with one voice before God to pray for the Luke 1:17 answer to the killing of our babies and the wounding of our women -"And he will also go before Him in the spirit and power of Elijah to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children and the rebellious to the wisdom of the just, to make ready a people prepared for the Lord." We would greatly appreciate your prayers before and on the days of the event, 1/17 & 1/18. Pray that Houston area pastors and pro life leaders would stand up for their city and cry out for mercy and justice. Pray also that God would send down the rain of His glory over this city. If you would like to follow us on The Road to Houston, which will continue even after the event this month, you can go to http://bound4life.com/blog/tag/R2H.
Be Blessed,

onething'09
So this past week I went to Kansas City, MO for a conference called onething. The International House of Prayer has been putting this conference on for years and this was my first time going. People have told me how awesome the conference has been in previous years but I had no idea what I was getting myself into... God has been dealing with me on keeping myself consecrated to Him over the past couple weeks so when I went to onething I decided to pray and ask Him to speak to me throughout the conference on how I needed to do that. As soon as I arrived I felt the call of the Nazirite on my life. I began to pray and ask God to confirm to me that being a Nazirite was what He wanted me to do. I found Lou Engle's book, Nazirite DNA, and read though it then I had Jeremiah 1:4-10 prophesied over me. That, right there was God telling me to do this. I tell you all this not to boast but to make myself accountable to you. I really feel like God is asking me to give up certain things in my life so I can hear His voice more clearly and feel His heart on different issues. I ask that you will continue to lift me up in prayer as I go on this journey for the next 5 months.
Blessings,
